It was Chicago for a moment...

...and then it was Paris and London for a few days.

I saw the Dandy Warhols on Tuesday. They were very good even though the singer sorta lost his voice pretty early into the show.

On Wednesday night I went to the company Christmas party for a couple hours and then I went back to work until 11. I finished making my book project on Thursday morning. I'm pretty happy with it. It just shows what the different people at an advertising agency do. At noon I went out for lunch with a bunch of people I worked with. Unfortunately the guys that I worked with the most were too busy to come along so I will go back on Monday and grab lunch with them. On Thursday I realized how much I will miss Ogilvy even though I usually feel like I just want to be home. So it goes.

Almost everyone has moved out already. Nate and Lisa leave tomorrow. Meg will be here to pick me up on Tuesday.

I don't have webaccess anywhere in my building anymore so I may or may not post after this one. I don't know if I'll keep this blog up once I'm back to SC... we'll see. All I know is that one of the first things I'm gonna do is go see Narnia... looking forward to that one. Looks like King Kong is getting much better reviews though... I think that'll be fun too... we'll see.

I sunk my boot through some slush down into a puddle on the way over here (Starbucks) and my foot is an ice chunk right now so I need to head back to Cantebury and get some dry socks. Have a good night!

Christmas Lights

I feel like I'm drowning in homework... but I never seem to get any done. No, not really. I actually did finish one of my papers yesterday. So I went along with Nate and Lisa to the Linkin Park zoo to check out the lights there. There was a guy making ice sculptures, which were pretty cool. He started to make a shark one out of four 350 lb blocks of ice that he melted together with an iron. Unfortunately he kept losing power (see photo of saw stuck in the ice). I really wanted to stick around and watch the piece be completed, but it was incredibly cold. My fingers almost fell off I think. So we headed back to Cantebury. Tonight I am working at the CS office for the last time. Only 3 more days at Ogilvy and then one day of class. I have another paper that I have to get working on now. Keep warm!

meh

This past week was pretty tiring. On Monday and Tuesday night Sarah Versluis and I put together a slide show in iMovie for the final Chicago Semester party that was to be on Wednesday night. I was pretty happy with it...could've used more work but not bad for starting just 48 hours earlier. Now I have papers to write, an art project to finish, and a big city to get out of and go home in a coupla weeks!
